OssDBJpeg

Attention Delphi Developers:  Ever tried to store a jpeg image in a database?  Didn't work did it?  It's easy to store a bitmap in a database BLOB field but jpeg files require a little more work.  OSS decided to tackle the problem for use in a project and decided to build a component to make it easy to implement and share. 

There are 3 components in the OssDBJpeg component package:

  • OssBDEJpeg - for BDE applications (TTables, etc.)
  • OssClientJPeg - for MIDAS application (TClientDataSet)
  • OssADOJPeg - for ADO applications

The components are very easy to use.  Just drop one on a form and you can :

  • Save a jpeg image in a database BLOB field.
  • Read a jpeg image from a database BLOB field.
  • Save a jpeg image from the BLOB field directly to a file.

The components are for Delphi 6 and Delphi 5.

Try the OssDBJpeg component set for FREE.  Just click here to download.  The evaluation version is free and fully functional when running Delphi.  So you have unlimited development and testing of your application.  But if you run your application without Delphi running then you will receive a registration message.  The registered version has no limitations.
